I want to use this book review post to talk about reading at school and my personal experience. Maybe, as it happens to me, you were obliged to do some mandatory readings at school; most of the time a book that doesn't like or doesn't motivate you. And after reading you have to do a summary about it. I confess, I have never read those books and I was so bored that I used to directly look at the plot on the internet. If you ask me why, now I know the reason. It is because that reading time were always the same. Long reading times with lots of pages, which were increasing with the years. I didn't enjoy reading, none of those books caught my interest, until the moment that I took one of my sisters' books. I saw it with different eyes. Why? It was a poem book. I have never read poems but that book made me feel things. What I want to say is, as teachers or parent, we should show our children the world of possibilities that exists, and let them discover what they really like. This is the reason why I'm doing this book review about a poems book. This is the first book that I read in English, without being obliged to do so.

Sinopsis:

This book is divided into seven chapters. Each one of them talks about magic, and how to find it in daily things. Magic on love, magic on words, magic in yought… The author of this book is anonymous, he uses the name of Atticus. It is understandable to remain anonymous, because he shows most of his personal and intimate feelings in this book. As Karlie Kloss said, “In the simplest way, Atticus captures those little things that make life magic”.

In this book the author takes us on an adventure of finding magic, through heartbreak and falling in love, looking back and looking inward, he writes about finding ourselves, our purpose, and the simple joys of life with gace, wit and longing.

Personal opinion:

I love this book. Before reading it in English, I didn’t know what the experience of reading poems would have been like, but now, I think I liked it more than in the Spanish version.

I don't particularly recommend to read this book if you are not into poems. But if you give a chance to other types of lectures, maybe you find something special for you.
